Charidor is the son of the great Evening Star, but still he has no light of his own.
​​
Every young Star must walk the earth until they come of age and receive their light. Only then can they rise into the sky and become a shining Star. Even though Charidor is old enough, his light still hasn't appeared, and he's the only Star left to walk the dark earth at night.
​
One windy night, as thick clouds block out every Star in the sky, a desperate cry for help echoes through the forest and Charidor alone hears the child's plea. To help the child, he must face the darkness he fears and venture into the deepest cave.

Yet still he wonders, what use can a Star be without his light? ​
