Meet James
Hello, Traveller! Come, sit by the fire.
It's nice to meet you. My name is James and I'm a storyteller who writes coming of age tales inside worlds that never lose their wonder.

My passion is to create fantasy stories that help teens face the real challenges of growing up.
​
You'll mostly find me dreaming up new YA stories from the fields of my Australian home (while my tiny dog longs to chase the kangaroos over the fence...)
​
I've pursued story writing at a professional level for nearly a decade now, studying at both RMIT University and The Author Conservatory, and I've also worked for Story Embers and bestselling author Chuck Black.
​
Fun fact: I also write musicals! (I wrote my first musical at age 16.) I'm an avid songwriter and have often taken my storytelling to the stage in local theatre roles. (See evidence below!)

When I'm away from both page and stage, you'll probably find me plotting my revenge at Catan or inventing cheesy songs with my twin brother.
